F is for...
After a short break of the alphabet, I decided to get back to it and stitch F. So without further ado, F is for...
...fire breather. This is such a cool illustration. It it by Sarah Gully from Australia. Her other works of art are amazing. You can check her out here.
On another note, here's something else I finished...
Isn't he adorable?!

Monsters, Oh my!
As I said in my last post, I have taken a little break from the ABC's and have been working on a few other projects. What have I been working on, you ask? Let me show you!
I stitched up a couple of monster plushies! How awesome are they?!?! The white furry one on the right was the first one I finished. Once I finished I showed my husband and he said he looked like a tooth, but with a face and fur. So I decided to give him horns. :) The purple one on the left is actually an illustration by Said Wafiq. This is only the beginning for my plushies and stuffed creatures! I already have ideas for the next one!
I have a new found love and obsession for felt so I decided to go a different route. Last month, I participated in a Stitchalong for Feeling Stitchy and it featured one of my craft inspirations Love and a Sandwich. If you didn't see it, it had something to do with a Monster Cupcake. It was quite awesome! So using that as my inspiration, I decided to do another felt embroidery hoop.
It's a monster....dancing!! After I stitched the monster, I felt it needed something else so I thought the Monster Mash was a perfect fit. :)

E is for...
This one was a doozy to keep up with the theme but here it goes.
Eccentric??? What?!? I know, I know, it doesn't make sense at first but let me explain myself. I searched high and low for a word that starts with the letter E AND a word that can match up to the ongoing theme of the circus/carnival/freakshow. I came across a glossary of circus terms and one of the was the word "eccentric". Right after the word eccentric followed another word in parenthesis...CLOWNING. I thought to myself "That's perfect! All I have to do is find a couple of clowns 'clowning' around!!'" So here it is...
This pattern is a sketch by the most wonderful Amber Kenneson. (The same artist I used for the letter A.)
I've included a special stitch my grandmother taught me, the ribbon rose. It's tiny and delicate but I think it adds so much character to the piece.

Let's take a closer look at the piece...
Check out that mustache and the french knot clown nose!
Looks like something you would see in "Pimp my Ride" :)
He's my favorite part of the whole piece! His french knot "curly" hair is the best!
